Baseball (Whole MLB)

As you can see from my profile page, I am a Braves fan, and I have been since I was old enough to remember watching TV here in NorthEast Tennessee. Those were the days of Dale Murphy, Bob Horner, and Claudell Washington. Those years (80's) were just about as bad as it got for the Braves.  Then Bobby Cox comes, and gets some great team players, and turns around the orginization. World Series Title in 1995 will allways be sweet to me. The packed house during the playoffs, and the buzz everywhere about Braves baseball.

Now we have got back to the days of the 80's. We have our Murphy (C.Jones), and thats about it. Top Tier players really do not want to come to Atlanta as long as NY, and Boston are giving players property on the moon, and enough money to buy small countries. So the question beggs to be answered, what happened to our farm system? Why cant we produce great pitchers, and players anymore? The run of the 90's was preety much home grown talent.

Unless the Braves can get back to the farm, and draft some real (drug free) talent, I see us hovering around 77-85 wins every year until  Cox retires, then after that 65-75 wins. At least tickets will not be hard to come by, and you can go see real teams at a good price in Atlanta. Good luck Wren, looks like you have accomplished NADA...AGAIN!

Tennessee and the SEC

Hey vol nation relax, we all really knew in our hearts that the football team would be weak on offense. This has been comming for a while now. Hats off to the defense, we have a SEC defense, but we back that "D" with a conf. USA offense. I know fulmer wants to stay with Crapton, but the season is over, its time to see if the freshman can do it, if now, we know crapton cannot. So as we finish with maybe 3 wins this, go Bruce Pearl, and we know Pat will take care of us!!! It's just sad TN has fallen so far below par.
